williamSporting’s president Bruno de Carvalho says he had not received a single concrete offer for their defensive midfielder William Carvalho.
Bruno de Carvalho made a statement to press at an event to state that Sporting Lisbon received no formal proposal for William Carvalho. “There was no single proposal for William Carvalho, we did not refuse an offer or anything, there were approaches, but not proposals! Why did he play in the National Team? No one said he had a permanent injury”

When I saw the figures for the Carvalho deal I knew immediately that we wouldn't sign him.
We won't be paying north of 30m for at least another two years by which time the market would have moved on and it will get you an Anoutovic not a Carvalho.

If Sullivan was serious about this deal he would have set a deadline on it. He could have told them, that unless they accepted a deal by that time, a deal would not be done. He got the other deals over the line because he wanted to do those deals, this one had a too higher price for him.
Sullivan and co. take us for mugs every time. Bilic is as bad because he doesn't have the courage to speak out. Yes he may be sacked but at least he could hold his head high and he would have his contract paid up. At the moment between them they are going to get us relegated.

The common denominator is us. Any MARQEE target is always a drawn out saga End my in failure. Other clubs manage to do last minute deals even with SL. His ceiling is 25m this year, always call year behind market value.
Sullivan is either a liar, incompetent or both.

Surely some of the blame over this Carvalho saga accrues to SL. The Sullivan final offer sat with them for a couple of weeks yet that club went down to the wire before accepting it.
After all Sullivan, whatever we think of him, got the Arnie and Chicarito deals over the line.

And in terms of these comments about us not having time to conduct a medical on Carvalho, Sullivan reallly has shot himself in the foot.
Man City sent a team of medical experts to Chile on the off chance their bid for Sanchez was accepted so they could do a last minute medical. Our two bob cunts didn't even bother to stick a couple of blokes on an £22.99 Eastjet flight to Faro.
At best Sullivan has admitted he's hopelessly inadequate and unable to conclude a transfer. And at worst it proves he never had any intention at all of signing the bloke.
